I have a poster I am very proud of, it is the Macy's Department store advertising they would be selling Ercoupes! How neat! I happened to look up the N number on the plane on that poster, and guess what, it is serial number one! (NC15692, made in Oct 1939) I then set about to discover where that plane was, and it apparently is still in the Garber facility of the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. Does anyone have any more information on this plane, like when will it be on display (or is it already?) If anyone wants a photo of the poster, email me your email address and I will send one to you.
