Hey Eddie: I Know Dawley seems expensive, but when you compare the Univair
price for new pieces it really adds up fast. I got a total of $2257 for
both stacks, a muffler, and the two heat muffs. The stacks were stainless, but
I do not know the material of the other pieces.
Dawley will build you replacement pieces of all stainless. I know that
their flanges will be thicker and stronger than the Ercoupe original. I
would try to dicker with them a little to see if you can get them to build
you all new pieces for a fixed price. They do good work and stand behind it.

Hi,
I am looking for a company who can overhaul my orginal Alon exhaust
system. I found a couple cracks near the flanges. The aluminum heat muffs
have a
few scap patchs that look like they were done by a 12 year old. With a new
engine, I do not want to deal with worries of a maintaining a well used
exhaust system.

What company does a nice job rebuilding the entire system? Including the
aluminum heat muffs?

I called Dawley today. Dawley wanted nearly $500.00 a side to rebuild only
the stainless pipes. They only repair the shields for extra charge.
Maybe a new system may be the best route to take???? Any being made?
Thanks for the HELP!
Eddie
