The original production Ercoupes had no electrical system. No
electrical system -> no radio -> no need for a shielded ignition system.
So, the engine had unshielded plugs and wires. these will fit under the
cowl without any modifications. If, however, you want to use standard
shielded plugs and wires, the front two plugs interfere with the cowl,
hence the bumps.
There is a new, shorter plug, REM37BY, which will just clear the cowl
withouy the bumps if you dress the wires correctly.
