However, if you want to retain the ability to replace the broken tube or sunk float, better use something a little less permanent. No loctite is required, as long as the torque is correct, so, I'd go with blue which is " Removable with hand tools for easy disassembly".
John BTW, hand tight plus 1/2 to 3/4 turn is the correct torque, depending on whether the gasket is viton or neoprene .
