Don. There is an article about the different styles of wing tanks here: http://www.ercoupe.info/?n=Main.StyleTanks Ternplate tanks are made from coated steel as I understand and should be better replaced with aluminum tanks. The stainless tanks were used at a short time for ealy style Coupes. If you have them - good, they resist corrosion. Both are hard to repair. As are the latter ones the aluminum tanks. Either way. If your tanks are not leaking - all is good.
I understand that the the early style header tanks held only 5 Gallons instead of the six (ternplate or stainless), but again, if not broken, there is nothing to fix. Is there an easy way to tell just what kind of tanks I have? _________________________________________________________________ Hotmail: Powerful Free email with security by Microsoft. https://signup.live.com/signup.aspx?id=60969
