Of the Ercoupes I have owned, there has been a fuel shut off valve on the right
wing tank close to where the fuel line exits the tank. It sometimes can't be
seen without removing the seat bottom.
lee browning Jack. There should be a valve between the tanks and the fuel
pump. It is supposed to be on the right hand side , under your dash on the
right wall. If it is not there , It should be, as you have no source of shutoff
to the fuel pump. You probably have two other issues also. Your carb. float
level neddle and seat may not be seating and the block valve under you dash
from the header tank to the carb, may not be shuting off completely.

Socialism will eventually run out of other peoples money.

I have a 1946 Ercoupe which is now a D model and I have stripped the cockpit of
upholstery, seats and floor boards, and although I understood that there was
supposed to be 2 fuel shut-off valves, the only one I have found is up under
the instrument panel. I inadvertently left the valve open with the aircraft
sitting in the hangar once, and voila! The fuel completely all drained out in
no time flat! -----Original Message-----

  Hi all.
I have the "G" model and searched all over the right and left side and can't
locate any additional shut off valve.
The only shut off valve I have is located is under the panel on pilots side.
Thank You,
Prof. Ed
