Eliacim,

I have no experience with the AvMap.  But I bought one of the first i Ifly
700s.  I love it.  The best feature is the map overlay is the current
sectional.  You have to have a subscription to keep the sectionals (all of
USA) and Approach Plates current.  The cost is $69/year.  Easy for me to
justify as I fly in an area where 4 sectionals meet.  To keep current with the
paper sectionals cost around $72/year and that is just for staying near my home
base.  The subscription also gives you access to update TFR's before every
flight and they will be displayed over the sectional.

The Ifly 700's customer service is top notch too.  Every question I have
emailed has got a response from the developer (Walter Boyed) within
hours.  They have a forum on their site that takes customer input and they
develop the new software release to meet customer requests.  With the
subscription you are able to update your software to include the new
features.  The next release is coming up next month and has some nice
improvements.

I still use my old Garmin Pilot3 for the HSI feature.  I run the Ifly
simultaneously for the increased situational awareness and information on the
sectionals.  It is a nice unit for the price!

Anybody out there has experience with the Anywhere Map ATC?

I am considering it, and the new IFly 700

Both cost $ 500 (my budget) and have weather upgradeability (in the IFly 700
it's a promise to be developed)
