Hey Bill: You are probably way ahead of me and have already done this, but  
just in case-- before you jack the airframe, remove the grease fitting and 
make  sure there is not any hardened grease in the fitting causing the 
grease to not  go in to the knee joint. If it is clear, then proceed with the 
lifting etc.

Is there a better way to support the airplane while  working on the Landing 
Gear {Knee Joint}.   I see no jack points or  support points, other than 
the Knee Joint I need to work on.
