[ercoupe-tech] Battery Cable Size

My battery cables have aged poorly, and the insulation is cracking off.  I want 
to replace them, but am having no luck in determining the correct wire to use, 
different sources indicate 2, 4, and 6 gauge.  Does anybody have a reference as 
to the correct wire to use?
