Well put, Syd. It made me think of a plane with tricycle gear but that wants to flip on its tail with the CG aft of the main gear - Rutan's Vari-Eze. When parked with the nose gear retracted, it sits on its nose, but when you lift it to lower the nose gear, it wants to flip rith up on its tail until you climb in. BTW, it isn't any good at crabbed landings, as the fiberglass main gear leg gets too flappy as it tries to find a way to track straight! Tom Hammer 415C #1213 EZ #1718 Beech B-50 Twin Bonanza #CH-63
