I took off the header tank fuel shut off valve today and took it apart, it had
stuck open a few weeks ago. It had some crud in it and needed the cleaning
for sure. I think some of the sticky stuff was some old fuel lube material.
Anyhow, all cleaned up, the action still turns hard (I have not got my shipment
of fuel lube yet). It looks like if I perhaps put some fine abrasive in it,
like valve lapping compound, and turned the inner part, maybe it would lap in
to more smoothness.
Any hints for smoothing up the action?
