We used the tint film I bought at Wal Mart and applied it to the top sunshield
over 1 year ago. It is still in perfect condition and works fine when the sun
is at an angle that shade is needed. Got the darkest shade and the entire roll
only cost about $ 12.00.

With the overhead sunshield in place and the side windows it is a cool breeze
that keeps us comfortable and with no wind being blown into the cockpit from
above all the maps, papers and other loose items stay put.

I went to an auto tinting shop and they wanted $50 to do it.

  Just a thought:
Why not consider color tinting material.
The stuff they use to tint auto glass.
It's available at almost any automotive store like Strauss.
It comes in different percentages of shading too.
It doesn't work with open canopy though
