John H, Sorry for the delay in replying; I'm several days behind in reading Tech List.
I'm not sure my answer would be very useful to you, since I don't usually have both windows wide open in flight. Either both sides up to about half-way at once, or pilot side closed & px side fully open. Under those conditions, it has been good; very rarely does anyone say my transmissions aren't clear, usually the opposite. There were a couple of occasions on which the TRACON squawked my transmission when the wind was blowing *directly* on my mic. The first time this happened, I called Clarity Aloft and they suggested a product that looked like a tiny leather cover with a small hole in it, facing the pilot's mouth, to slip over the mic foam; IIRC, it's meant for use in open-cockpit, helicopter, ultralight, etc., noisy environments. When I looked it up, I saw that I could just make one from some leather or suede scraps much more cheaply...but then the complaint didn't happen often enough to motivate me to get around to making one.
