I just replaced mine with a new rubber. The old rubber was shrunken and hardened, someone had put sheet metal screws thru it to hold it down to the cowling. Lacking any instructions, I decided to glue the new rubber to the windshield in spots, to keep it from changing position, I did not glue it to the cowling. Seems to be working quite good that way. The new rubber from Skyport is quite inexpensive and very easy to install.
