I had the terrible vibration problem couple weeks ago and it's finally solved.. John Cooper had the problem analyzed to being prop being loose on the flange.. When I put the new spinner on from Univair, it came with a front and back mounting plate.. the front mounting plate is of a very soft aluminum and the washers would sink into the plate by the time I got to 2500 feet after takeoff, and the engine would start it's vibration..The 25 foot pounds torque the prop was installed with turned to about 5 pounds torque as the nuts and washers sunk into the soft front plate.. The problem was fixed with fender washers behind the prop nuts .. I have a spline shaft crank.. Now I can read the compass without the bubbles.. I also had the sunlit problem on sunny days.. This problem was solved when I saw the idea to set the GPS to night mode on the tech help.. The next step was to learn how to set up the night mode on my Garmin 295.. The tech help came through again telling me to go to screen color mode and set to night mode.. Today was a bright sunny day, the vibration is gone I had a beautiful flight to breakfast, being able to read the GPS perfect, the pilots window down, the mode S transponder working beautiful, The breakfast Event tasted better THANKS AGAIN for all your help..
