Thanks everyone Especially Lynn Nelson with helpful advise.
 "Jack the plane at the main spar inboard between the gear and fuselage."
To me it's sort of complicated. My mechanic did it this morning
with an aircraft jack, some wood boards, and a sheet of 1" thick rubber. 
He also made absolutely sure the plane could roll in any direction before 
jacking. 
Everything worked out just fine too.
