Sounds a bit like Howard Hughes and the HK-1... Please be sure you have plenty of room for the taxi tests and perhaps also have a plan you discuss with others before making them (e.g. what are you testing, what criteria, at what distance do you brake, no ad-hoc tests not on checklist, AROW, insurance in place...).
