Hi Bart,

On a 415-D with the McCauley 1A-90 on a C-75, the Approved Flight Manual (p. 4) says to "avoid continuous engine operation between 1830 and 2020 RPM.

On a 415-E or G with the McCauley 1A-90 on a C-85, the Approved Flight Manual (p. 5) says to "avoid continuous engine operation between 1950 and 2170 RPM.

As I earlier stated, these limits presumably originated with McCauley and have since been rescinded for all Ercoupes without exception per notes in Univair catalog "revised 1/1/97" (Catalog 205, p. 207-8, note 1b).

McCauley regards 1A-90CF (elliptical tip) and 1B-90CM (square tip) props of identical diameter and pitch to be "directly interchangeable" (with exceptions not affecting Ercoupes, et al.)

Regards,

William R. Bayne
