Harbor Freight Tools has a tiny unit you can slide under the windshield welting for less than three bucks. Tested to 9,000 feet--it works well. John
Please elaborate. My "mechanic" installed my good old OAT such that the dial is now between translucent and opaque - perhaps if I just remove the lens...
A replacement would be nice, but new ones are about $75-80, aren't they? Your alternative sounds attractive, although I would expect some cowl heat to affect it. Sounds better than what I was left with.
