Mark.

I think you are talking about the brake line that goes to the elbow fitting on
top of the brake housing.
>From what I know this line has a flared end and seals due to pressure on the
>fitting. If it does not seal there anymore it may be time for a new brake line.
I would not try to seal the spot with some gasket material. It will leak under
pressure or worse - fail. Not good for your braking action when you come in
fast.

Subject: [ercoupe-tech] brake fluid leaking

Hi everybody, I was wondering if anyone might be of some help with experience
of brake fluid leaking out of the joint where the brake line joins by the
wheel. I have the Goodyear brakes and am just wrapping up the annual. We
rebuilt the brakes and are now having trouble with the threaded joint leaking
(seeping brake fluid) where the brake line comes in by the wheel. Is there
something to put on the threads to stop the leak or what other possibilities
does anyone know of? Thanks!
