[ercoupe-tech] VSI

I am A new owner of a Ercoupe 415 C that did not cost 52,000 and i want to 
replace my VSI and am curious is mine the only one that is not connected to the 
airspeed or altimeter and only works by the cabin air. IF some have attached a 
static line what was the simplest way? Did it also seem to work better?
