It just flew across the country from Arizona to Florida last week. It's comfortable, stable, has a strong engine, starts easily and draws attention every time it lands. Digital Terra radios make communication with ATC effortless. The paint shines and the windows are clear. The panel is very original and even has the glove box doors still intact. (They will require the hinges installed if you want them to be used as doors again). Dual landing lights mounted on the main gear fairings make lighting up the runway at night a snap. The old single nose fork which is prone to shimmy has been replaced with the sturdy dual fork. New engine baffling combined with a fiberglass Kenny Nosebowl keep the oil temps around 180 degrees, even in the hot Florida heat. N99462 is unusually light at only 808 pounds empty. With a gross of 1260 lbs, the useful load is 452 lbs. If you buy the STC ($200) for the gross weight increase to 1320 pounds (the LSA limit), your useful load jumps to 512 lbs. The center section has been inspected for corrosion as per SB32. None was found. Flaws. not many. There was a crack on the cowling door that was repaired but shows. There are a few small chips in the paint from stones. The canvas bag in the baggage area is worn but will be replaced before the sale. The tachometer is erratic but will be replaced before the sale. There is some oil leaking from one of the pushrod tubes but this will be addressed before the sale. Buttons on the com radio are sticking but will be repaired or replaced before the sale. This is an unusually clean 415C and some lucky buyer will get many hours of low cost fun with her! TTAF 2414.5 Time since major overhaul 1103 hr. Time since top overhaul 713.45 hr.
