Jay,

Funny you should ask: I had mine balanced yesterday, for the first
time. I am pleased with the results. Cost was $150. from a mobile,
comes-to-your-plane service man. He also spotted something no one
else had in 4 years: up high under the cowl on the passenger side, a
piece of baffling was hitting a longeron & tranfering engine vibe to
the cowling, in addition to notching each other. He said he has
learned to look for that as "it is very common to find on Ercoupes."

I was wondering if any of you have had your prop dynamically balanced
and whether you are happy with the results. I have just completed
repairing my '65 Alon and am considering having this done. I am an
A&p IA and may also consider purchasing a balancer to add to the
services I can provide to my customers but do not want to spend the
money if it is not worth the results or if there is not a market for
the service. I would imagine the service would cost around $200-
250? Thanks. Jay
