I have an RC Allen Outside Air Temperature Gauge (INOP). After removing the
glare shield from the panel in my 66 Aircoupe, the reason the OAT was INOP was
obvious. Everything from the back of the instrument is missing. I went to
Aircraft Spruce looking for parts to complete the indicator installation. I
found only a connector listed, bought that, but nothing else is available. Does
anyone know where I can get the parts I need. The Spruce part number for my OAT
is 29-3003-14. the connector is simply a screw on cap that is supposed to hook
up the rest of the probes and wires to the back of the OAT indicator. I have
that but no temperature probe or electrical hook up. Additionally, if I ever do
find a temperature probe, where is a proper place under the cowl to place it
for best reading.
