Well said Ed, and my thanks to both. Bill

If anything, I think he was taking pride in covering the cost himself just as Hartmut and I do for ours. (It may not cost him much. Mine doesn't. It depends on the website hosting company you choose.) He did mention that it takes time and effort to post the pictures and that is the hangup. His previous attempt at accepting help with the website was disasterous. Some previous submitter was also unappreciative and obnoxious. I volunteered to resize photos for him - something that takes time and effort - in order to make the photo album easier for him. Rather than looking for ways to help pay for the website, perhaps it'd be best to find ways to help him by making it easier. Examples: 1. Resize your photos and prepare the text before sending them to him. (We'll see about getting the needed specs. A quick check found that the largest file size of five photos I looked at was 63 kb. That's a far cry from the 4MB files my camera creates. But it's easy for good photo editing programs to adjust. For web photos, I normally use Photoshop Essentials and resize the image to 72 dpi, 8 inches wide and save as .jpg files at quality 0, 1, 2 or 3.) 2. Be patient about how long it takes to get the pictures posted. I work in fits and starts on volunteer projects. Most normal people do, too (except for those obnoxious over-achievers who keep taking on more and more and doing it all wonderfully!!!). 3. Be appreciative about the photo album website. I certainly am! Ed _________________________________________________________________ The New Busy think 9 to 5 is a cute idea.
