Fred,

Here is the wording off my 337 from 1990:

"STC #SA615EA & SA800EA, FAA-PMA, Deviation Ercoupe 415-CD.
Installed Whelen Anti-Collision Strobe Light System with Whelen Strobe Light
Power Assy. Model #413A, HDA-DF-14. Installed in accordance with Installation
and Service Manual, AC 43.13.1A, Chpt 11, Sec. 1,2,3 and 7 Electrical Systems.
Wing tip strobes installed L & R are Model A650 Whelen.
Weight & Balance and Equipment List Revised."

I did a Google search for STCs SA615EA and SA800EA and came up with a couple of
links concerning Whelen wingtip strobes. You will probably have to copy and
paste these into your browser window:

http://www.whelen.com/pb/Aviation/Catalog%20Price%20Lists%20and%20Manuals/Anti-Collision_Light_Systems_Installation_and_Service_Manual.pdf

See page 4 for "Aircraft Not Specifically Mentioned on Eligibility List."

And last, but not least, a link to someone else's 337 completed in 2006:

Hope this helps.
