WRB's excellently clear advice re: landing in furrows or waves gave me an idea to suggest to the organizers of Ercoupe conventions &/or our Oshkosh gatherings. I imagine most of us carry an Emergency Procedures checklist (for e.g. Loss of Oil Pressure, Power-Off Landings, etc.), however, it's pretty sketchy. How about an Emergency Procedures Forum, where we can hear in more detail, both some of the mechanical reasons behind the steps listed for each situation, and also the tips or considerations for Ercoupe-specific situations that make emergencies more survivable?
