Subject: [ercoupe-tech] Stops to prevent over-control of ailerons?
My A&P and I were testing the movement of the ailerons on my newly serviced 415C when we discovered that it is possible to keep turning the yoke until one aileron is way high while the other returns to near neutral. This occurs when the yoke passes vertical or 90 degrees. We were wondering if there is supposed to be a stop to limit this over-control possibility? Thanks for any feedback. I assume you have the Ercoupe maintenance manual on hand during the testing. Look on page 26 second paragraph up from the bottom on the left side of the page and see if that's not what you're seeing.
