Linda,
Sorry for the late reply. What Robert describes is what we did.
Instead of moleskin or felt as also discussed I used two inch wide
telflon tape on all edges and in the lower part of the fuselage. Also
cleaned and.vacumed all debris. I did not use felt as I was afraid of
moisture collecting in it. I also put tinted windows in. Windshield
is clear as are back windows. Green tint on entry windows I do not
have a shade panel. Most if the time I fly with the windows down, but
the tint helps with heat and reading the gps.

Hi All....
I had the same problem with scratches on the inside of my slide down
windows.
After removing my seat cushions and the seat pans I found that the
the inboard panel (the one we sit next too)which covers the window
did not have its retaining screw in it and was being bowed out in
the middle. I straightened the lip out at the bottom , added a small
reinforcing plate and put it back together witht the appropriate
hardware.
The inboard side panel is only .032" aluminum and susceptable to
bending at the bottom edge, evan though it has a u shaped fold to it.
I tooo put a protective material ( self adhesive moleskin) on the
bottom inboard edges of this panel.
I hope this helps.
Cheers

does not get scratched buy the metal. I have used felt and crushed
velvet fabric cut to size and glued in place for this also. The
windows I just took out of mine I in put in 15 years ago and they
still had no scratches on them. They were Lexan and I had felt lining.
