Okay, fair enough. It certainly would be nice if it did. Let me just clarify something too, if I may. You say that the python lexer doesn't support compact folding, but I assume what you mean is that the python lexer only does compact folding... it doesn't support NOT compact folding. It is also maybe a little misleading in the preferences to have the Compact Fold option in the "All Lexers" section, since it apparently doesn't apply to at least some of the lexers. Yeah, nitpicking... but it made me think that feature should have been available for the python lexer.
