I am having the same issue mentioned in this thread:

I am not sure which package is importing pkg_resources, and thus
causing the problem. Is there anyway to see a trace of where I am in
the program, that is, what line of my code imported the package that
imported pkg_resources?
I am running eric4.1.2 r2105
