Hi, some distributions seem to install a Qt theme, that replaces the Qt dialogs with KDE dialogs. Unfortunately the KDE file dialogs lack the possibility to preselect a filter. They always select the first one of the given list. The error message shown in a console also origins from these libraries.
Unfortunately I am not able to correct either of these. However, you may select to use a different theme for eric (not the one introduced by "qtc_").
