Hi, I just tried to install everything specifying arch i386, including carbon 32 bit qt libraries. Everything went fine, until the installation of Eric itself. Here's the output:
$ sudo python install.py Checking dependencies Python Version: 2.6.1 Sorry, please install PyQt4. Error: dlopen(/Library/Python/2.6/site-packages/PyQt4/QtCore.so, 2): no suitable image found. Did find: /Library/Python/2.6/site-packages/PyQt4/QtCore.so: mach-o, but wrong architecture So apparently one also has to install a 32 bit version of Python :( On Thu, Feb 11, 2010 at 13:00, <eric-requ...@riverbankcomputing.com> wrote: > > Message: 3 > > Date: Wed, 10 Feb 2010 10:50:15 -0700 > > From: Larry Shaffer <lar...@dakotacarto.com> > > To: <eric@riverbankcomputing.com> > > Subject: Re: [Eric] Eric4 on Mac Os X, problem with highlighting boxes > > Message-ID: <c7983fe7.a1ca%lar...@dakotacarto.com> > > Content-Type: text/plain; ? ? ? charset="ISO-8859-1" > > > > Hi Christian, > > > > See my post yesterday that outlines this problem: > > > > ?Weird Eric4 Editor Font Spacing and Highlighting > > > > It happens when you install the Cocoa-only version of Qt 4.6.1 > > (qt-mac-cocoa-opensource-4.6.1.dmg), which also happens when installing via > > MacPorts.
