I’m having some very strange problems with the Eric editor. When I press a character key (but not a return key), the line I’m typing on goes black from one edge of the window to the other. I wondered if it might have to do with the Editor > Style > Colours preferences, but I can’t alter those (pressing “Okay” on the OS colour picker causes the preferences window to close). Otherwise, everything functions okay. But the flashing black highlighting is really annoying.
I’m working on an iMac running OS 10.11, Qt 5.5.1, sip-4.17, PyQt 5.5, Eric 6.0.11. The problem started when I upgraded to Qt 5.5 a couple of months ago. At the time I was using slightly earlier versions of all the other packages as well.
