Subject: uncelebrated English days

Today is St George's day, the national, (if largely uncelebrated) day
of our jolly good neighbours, the English. It is also the anniversary
of the deaths of some of England's most famous literary sons. In
1616, William Shakespeare died; in 1850, William Wordsworth died and
in 1915, Rupert Brooke died.
