Yes, I've seen this error a lot of times. The problem with it is that
it is the kind of errors that no matter how many times one encounters
and fixes, one just can't remember the fix and has to start from
scratch! ;-)
My guess is that there's a problem starting the Erlang backend.
If you're using Windows, please start eclipse with the following arguments
-vm "/path/to/java/bin/java.exe"
For other OS, start eclipse from a terminal. This way, you will be
able to retrieve the console output. If you post it I hope I will be
able to tell you more exactly what's going on.
