I didn't want to create inflated expectations while it wasn't clear how much OTP will get involved. In short, there is an internal Ericsson customer that will use Eclipse and then erlide is a natural chioce for the Erlang development. They convinced the OTP team to provide resources for the required work and for support etc, and things are already rolling: the last two versions are the result of the efforts of Jakob and Tomas.
