For a change, here's some kudos and not issues. I ran sinan shell, then application:start(myapp), and it All Just Worked (R).
Now FYI, "myapp" is actually a "port" from the old Erlware build system I used before Sinan/Faxien days (you know, the one that used Makefiles). It's a pretty complex app that is currently in production. My teeth nearly fell out when I ran it in the shell and ran the tests and it all worked. Ok, it took me most of the night to figure out how to use Faxien and Sinan and get past some of the wrinkles, but I figure that Sinan/ Faxien is a winner once the teething problems are done, and once there is more comprehensive documentation and more complex examples. I know it's a virtually thankless task creating tools for a wide audience, even if the tools are free, because as we (the audience) come to depend on them we complain bitterly to the toolsmiths when we get stuck and deadlines are looming. I can't speak for the community, but I am sure they will agree with me when I express to you and Eric and the other authors much gratitude for putting so much effort into this, making it available, and helping out with issues. Once I master this, I will be glad to see the end of the makefiles. Although I still have to use at least one makefile for some 'C' drivers... unless there is another trick I don't know yet? ;) And if I could just figure out how to actually do a proper release and upload it to my repo....
