Thanks for the update - it is easy to overlook things like this.
Target erts vsn is no longer a function, it has been renamed
preferred-erts-version now.  The preferred erts vsn is simply the
first erts vsn that will be searched when looking for packages.  It is
not something you should have to change too often.  Sorry about that.
I just released a new version with the help updated to reflect this.

I am taking your criticism seriously and we will work to improve
things like this with increased rigour.  We plan to go 1.0 shortly and
will keep this at the top of our list of things to do.  Thanks.
