As many of our doubtless already know we have some major plans for
Erlware this summer(for those of us in the Northern hemisphere :) ).
The biggest being our focus on our repos, the apps in them, how we
promote the apps in them, and the ease of using the website. Before
we fully focus on that we had a couple of things that we wanted to do.

1. Change the way Faxien installs packages so that Faxien can install
applications and releases directly over an existing Erlang/OTP install
(of course an existing install is not required). The Erlware format
for install packages will be the same as the Erlang format.
2. Change Sinan to understand this new installed structure.
3. Add build hooks to Sinan.

1 and 2 are done and will be published this weekend. I am announcing
this now because this is a backwards incompatible change. We will be
releasing new bootstrappers. Sorry for the backwards incompatibility.
We know the pain this causes but we need to do this. If you are not
ready to consume this change don't upgrade Faxien or Sinan, when you
are ready, pull a new bootstrapper from
http://erlware.org/downloads.html and have at it.

We will send out an announcement as soon as the new bootstrappers are
up and artifacts published.

Cheers,
Martin
