Hey man,

Faxien has binary packages, for the most part this is great, Erlang's
beam files are cross platform so there is no problem. However, a few
apps have native code (usually C) as part of the binary and they need
to have a different binary for each platform. Faxien supports this,
but we don't have all that many platforms available to build on, so
its hard to provide binaries for all the platforms out there. We rely
on others to publish binaries for other platforms. So tools is one of
these packages and the problem is that tools is not built for your
platform. I am actually curious about that because I am running snow
leopard as well. We can dig into that in a bit.

In any case, Tools is an application thats distributed as part of
Erlang. The easiest way to install it is to install erlang R14B01 from
scratch, the default distribution and faxien can sit beside each other
no problem at all. You can get that here

http://erlang.org/download/otp_src_R14B01.tar.gz

That should provide you everything you need for the base install, and
get you up and running. All the non-core sinan dependencies are
generic, they don't contain native code and shouldn't cause a
problem.

some of the core app names from the erlang distro leave somethning to
be desired, lol.

Feel free to ping the list if you have problems. We are in the middle
of doing a bunch of work on the erlware tools and really like feedback
that helps us direct our efforts.

Eric
