Great - I am running this by the organisers of the Erlang GSoC to make sure
that they would welcome this project proposal.

I have a hard time seeing why they would not welcome it.

Stay tuned - I am certain that it will be accepted and then I will hook you
up so that you can put a rough project description in place.
