Found this on http://plone.org/ In it "Sean Kelly compares and contrasts
building a web application in Plone (Zope), Java J2EE, Ruby on Rails,
Django, and TurboGears."

http://oodt.jpl.nasa.gov/better-web-app.mov

Some of the metrics he in the comparison are:

easy of development
"headaches" - points of frustration that had to be solved be outsiders
validation
time spent developing
LoC (Lines of Code)
web developer friendly
AAA (Authenication, Authorisation, Accounting)
templates
docs
i18n

To be fair I think that plone is more content management than a web
delevopment framework so it's at a higher layer than erlyweb, but it
could give someone some ideas if not for erlyweb then for an add on project.

Jeff.
