I think there would be some value in breaking these apart and providing them separately. Personally, I'd like to be able to install just the mysql driver and erlydb for a project I'm working on right now. Then later I could layer on erlyweb and yaws when I when I'm ready to work on the front-end.
But having erlyweb packaged in a beginner-friendly manner would be an excellent first step.
