Hi,
Unfortunately this is quite a big job. From my experience the way that
ArcInfo recognises attributes does not hold true for ERMapper, ie ERMapper
does not recognise the attribute as a text attribute of the polygon, this is
due to the structure of the vector files. (ERMapper was intentionally
designed to work on image processing more efficiently than the vector
incorporation side, it isn't a GIS package). I have had to use other
methods (not simple) to be able to display ArcInfo coverage attribute names
on a map composition within ERMapper. This involved dumping the Arcinfo
table (.aat or .pat) to a text file and then re-structuring and combining
the dumped (text) file and the ERMapper vector file in excel, and then
output again to a comma delimited file (from memory). A very long winded
process - hopefully someone out there has written some code for this or has
a quicker method to suggest to you!
Regards and good luck..
