Hi all,

As an additional note, the bug mentioned in my previous email is not new to
ER Mapper 6.2, but is high on the priority list to be fixed.

In case you were wondering, there was another serious Save As bug fixed for
ER Mapper 6.2. The details of how to reproduce this bug in ER Mapper 6.1
are as follows:
-------------------------------------
Firstly, load a dataset into the algorithm window. When Page Setup is set
to AutoVary: Page, the "Save As" wizard provides two output options:
"Current View" or "Entire Page". Applying zoom to the original image
results in only a subset of the original image being displayed in the
algorithm window. Selecting "Save As > Current View", saves only the subset
of the original image, as expected. However, selecting "Save As > Entire
Page", also saves only the subset of the original image, not the entire
original image as it is supposed to.
-------------------------------------

I hope this clears up any confusion,

Subject: RE: Geometrical errors in downsampling

Hi Martin,

There is a bug in Save As which may be responsible for the problem you are
having. The details are as follows:

------------------------
After using the Hand Roam tool(as opposed to the zoom-box tool) then saving
out the current view (and the page constraint is set to anything but "Fixed
Page: extents from zoom") the wrong image is saved out. Instead of using
the bottomright coordinate of the current view, the bottomright coordinate
of the original algorithm is used. Using the zoom-box tool is OK however,
and once zoom has been applied to the image using the zoom-box tool,
subsequent zooming (in or out) using the Hand Roam tool will work when using
the saveas feature.

In addition, saveas works (extents of image to be saved are correct) when
the window is resized, after zoom has been applied with the Hand Roam tool.
------------------------

The warper uses different logic to Save As when resampling, so this should
provide an adequate workaround.
