I haven't used PCI for several years, but I remember that the file format
allows you to have different 'bands' within single file that had different
data types. In other words, a single file could have 6 unsigned 8-bit bands,
3 4-byte real bands etc. From the error message, it sounds like you may be
trying to import such a file, which ER-Mapper cannot do. You may have to go
back to PCI and split the file first.

 - I get the following
error message in the progress window:
"Starting Import...
File has multiple image data types; will convert others to signed 16-bit
unable to write C:\ERMAPPER61/lut/gta99s.ers\.lut
Import Halted with ERRORS"

The '.pix' files had been tarred in UNIX and unzipped in windows but I am
not too sure if that has anything to do with this problem. Any other ideas?
Thank you in advance.
