Hi Donald:

In the NIMA Technical Report 8350.2 the transformation parameters from Cape
to WGS84 datum are

DeltaX: -136 m
DeltaY: -108 m
DeltaZ: -292 m

If you want to add the reverse transformation (from WGS84 to Cape), just
invert the signs.

Notice that this is not a 7 parameters transformation, but a simple 3
parameter one. The precision of this will depend on your data (pixel size
and location); those parameters are valid for South Africa, and its
precision according to the NIMA report is:

X: +/- 3 m
Y: +/- 6 m
Z: +/- + m

I hope this helps,

Subject: Cape to WGS84 parameters

Hi List

Iv'e had to reinstall ERMapper and have wiped out the parameters for the
Cape (Clarke 1880) to WGS84 datum transformation in the "bursawol.dat" file.
Perhaps someone could send them to me.

Many thanks
