I'm running ERMapper 5.5 on IRIX (we've also 6.2 on NT, but i prefer to stay in unix environment).
problem- i want to generate a tiff of my data, a very large mosaic/algorithm. I have, for example, 38 .ers files mosaic'ed in a single algorithm. The data--1m resolution DEMs along the Texas coast--are all total about 180km long and 1km wide. Unfortunately, the data fall across the page in a roughly 30 degree angle, and thus 90% of my layout is actually NODATA. (the diagram below sorta depicts this; the rectangle represents the data extents/page size, and the interior "-" and " / " represent the data. |--------------------------------------| | / | | ------ | | / | | ----------- | | / | | - --- | | / | |--------------------------------------| what i'd like to do is somehow rotate the data within an algorithm so that when i open the algorithm, my coastline would show up at either 0 or 90 degrees so that i could save the algorithm out as a relatively small .tif file. As is (above), a moderate-resolution tif file, with all this empty space, would be far too large to work with. note- i'm generating my algorithms with AWK; so if you know the algorithm syntax for doing such a thing (rotation) but don't know if it can be done in older versions of ERMapper, please e-mail me a sample algorithm and i can write a program to generate the kind of algorithm i'll need. thanks much, john ----------------------------------------------------------- To make changes to your subscription, please visit our website, http://www.ermapper.com/technicl/ermapperl/index.htm
