If you are using the ERS header files for the GTOPO datasets available
on the ER Mapper web site, there will be no gaps between the tiles.
However, sometimes there will appear to be a gap if you view the mosaic
zoomed out due to image subsampling to the screen.  If you zoom in closely
on the seam, you will see that there is no gap, and no gap would appear if
exporting or printing the mosaic image.
